Introduced in 1958, the Impala was Chevrolet's new entry into the mid-priced field, and was different in more ways than just styling. The advertising of the day focused as much on performance and handling as it did on style. Chassis no. 01867l139847, engine no. T0928HA received a frame-off restoration in 2007 and has been minimally driven since. It is equipped with a desirable 'tri-power' 348 cid special super turbo thrust V-8, a triple-carbureted powerplant good for 335 bhp. This muscular and handsome Impala further distinguishes itself with a 4-speed manual gearbox, power steering and dual exhaust pipes. It also features a push-button radio, a rear speaker, and a white, automatic soft top that comes with a paint-matching tonneau. It has new whitewall tires, an original owner's manual and a period-correct two-piece set of samsonite luggage. This stunning was originally purchased by a resident of Columbus, Ohio, this car more recently became a fixture in the collection of a Chicago enthusiast who drove it sparingly and housed it alongside his multitude of sports cars. Three years ago, this Impala was treated to a thorough body-off restoration that renewed its mechanical and cosmetic components to as-new condition. since then, the car has been driven only 99 miles.
